Hawking: 'There is no heaven'
Mon May 16, 2011
In theory only, no proof. Only his opinion. Dr. Hawking never gives any irrefutable evidence that his theories are correct. There are planty of differing scientific opinions about the origin of the universe. Also please look up the meaning of sarcasm.

Why are we putting so much stock into what Dr. Hawking thinks on a subject in which he is not an expert? Let Dr. Hawking believe what he wants. He has said similarly inciteful things before as if they are fact, not his own personal theories.

Ivanho75 Can't stay on forever, so I will make it brief. "100% of aborted fetuses will go to Heaven, unequivocally." As a catholic I believe that no one short of Jesus and Mary was born without sin. There is no "foolproof" way into heaven except earning it.

Ivanho75 - I have more than just a little problem with your conclusion. Abortion does not save the life of the embryo/fetus (although it may in a few cases save the life of the mother). You also have a very pessimistic view of people.

Dave please reread the post. We believe that life begins at conception (fertilization). That means that purposely not allowing the embryo to come to be born is the taking of a life. Do I need to go further?

Chad - It's an interesting set of possibilities, but where is the moral delimma? We are talking about life here and not souls. I don't know when someone becomes "ensouled" or how that works.
